There are tons of articles on the web describing this very REAL practice of very cruel people using these animals as live bait. It does happen, and there’s clear proof of it online.

As for the video you are referring to, it is VERY possible that video is a hoax and very possible that guy is making money off of it, but he’s still bringing attention to a REAL problem, so I honestly don’t care if he does make a killing off those T-Shirts and doesn’t donate any. But my friend, none of us have proof that he is making a killing and that he’s not donating. And his video does look like a fake, but just because you don’t see a kitty devoured doesn’t mean all of that footage is stock photography. Bottom line is that it doesn’t matter, b/c the issue DOES exist. People use cats and dogs to fish for sharks- that my friend is no hoax. It’s the sad truth.
