I kept asking my friends what pictures should I post and one of them told me of her grandma’s Ragdoll cat. So, I decided that the day of February 29th should be dedicated to Ragdoll cat. If you’re wondering why the silly name you should probably know that the name “derived from the common perception that these cats go virtually limp and relax when picked up, unlike most other cats.” Wikipedia. The one who created Ragdoll cats was Ann Baker, who in the 1960’s owned a Persian, Angora cat and wanted more of it. So she decided it could be nice if she would pair her Persian with a Siamese male or with a Birman one. And thus the Ragdoll cat was created.

And if you want to buy one you should know that the price varies between $500 and $1000, depending on the color of the eyes, fur and age. More about Ragdoll cat on rfwclub.org
